I got one of my deviations moved to scraps because I put it in this category. I thought that was mean, I wanted it to be a proper deviation not a scrap.

Why do you think it was mean? Had you read the gallery descriptions you would have learnt that your work wasn't ANSI art and didn't belong in the category. You made a mistake by placing a Deviation in the wrong section and the admins fixed it for you.
In the past, miscategorized Deviations were deleted. Now they are moved to Scraps. No harm done. Digital Art > Miscellaneous would be the correct category.
At the time I uploaded the deviation, there were no descriptions. When my deviation got moved, I did read the description, yet I was not sure what was wrong with it.
